Welcome to the Kilkerley Community Development Group web site which was established in March 2004 to inform you of the community activities, the people, the stories and the history of the parish of Kilkerley, Co Louth, Ireland. Parish History Book published by Willie Quigley in December 2010 now available.


Kilkerley Commumity Development Group.

The Community Group was established in 1996 with the aim of improving Community facilities in Kilkerley. The first major task undertaken was to renovate the old school house in Kilkerley. It now houses a modern creche under the management of Karen Holland. A new Community & Enterprise Centre was then constructed with the aid of Fás and Louth Leader funding. This Centre, which opened in Oct 2001, is now the hub of community activities in Kilkerley. Activities in the hall include , bowls, badminton, social dancing, girls brownie unit. Dance every Sunday night. Bar facilities and supper served, Adm 8 euro. New extension to centre to include gym,training & meeting roooms scheduled to open early 2011.
